A young, recently graduated college student decides to search for her roots in the village of Itaúnas, in the far north of the state of Espírito Santo. While researching her ancestors, residents of an ancient village buried under sand, she ends up uncovering and reliving stories from a mythical past, filled with legends and fantastical characters. Besides experiencing these magical moments, she will face very real threats, including land grabbers and enemies of her former family, who put her life at risk. The story takes place in January and culminates during the traditional Feast of Saint Sebastian and Saint Benedict, a traditional event that takes place every year.
